The Arab World's First Super car:-LYKAN HYPERSPORT

With a voracious appetite for all kinds of super cars and plenty of wealth to sustain it thanks to its oil-rich real estate, it shouldn't come to as a surprise that the Arab world has finally managed to produce its own hyper car in the guise of W Motors's Lykan Hypersport, which was introduced at this week's Qatar Motor Show.
The motivation to create a world-beating supercar is easy to understand. As seen by the success ofKoenigsegg
and Pagani , the supercar business is open to assault from talented newcomers — much more than the volume car business. However, for every Pagani there are 20 failed companies trying to crack the same egg. So the odds are not good, but the reward is potentially enormous.
So, is this Lykan set to stalk its prey in the form of Lamborghinis, Paganis and Bugattis like its mythical namesake does? Or will this simply be another drop in the bucket of failed attempts at infiltrating the supercar market? Only time will tell
The Lykan Hypersport comes with a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine (likely sourced from Porsche) with 750-horsepower positioned behind the driver and can reach 100km/h (62mph) in 2.8 seconds before topping out at 395km/h (245mph) – yep, you're not the only one thinking about 'hagwalah' right now…
INTERIOR:
The interior of this car is one of its more vapor-esque features. Does it exist outside a computer? From these images, the answer is ‘not yet.’ The mock-ups are pretty impressive, nonetheless. They show sophisticated shapes, materials and technology.
The seats and steering wheel are good examples of W Motors philosophy with the Lykan Hypersport. They appear to blend pure racing features, like carbon-fiber shells for the seats and tiny diameter for the steering wheel, with some of the imperatives from their buyers.
Atop the slim one-piece carbon seats there are individual leather pads spaced about a half inch apart. The steering wheel is draped with thick racing Alcantara near the 9 o’ clock and 3 o’ clock positions.
COMPETITION:
The competition for Lykan includes hypercar legends like Ferrari, McLaren, Bugatti and Lamborghini. Due to its unknown weight figures and “only” 750 horsepower, it looks outmatched by the Veyron and Veneno. Luckily, RUF is a tuner at its core, meaning outputs in the 1,250-horepower range are plausible.

THE NEW FORD MUSTANG 2014 IS REALLY A MUSTANG

Mustang keeps the attitude coming with an impressive lineup of engines:

Shelby GT500:-
The Shelby GT500 was designed to smoke the competition. Under the hood is the most powerful production V8 engine in the world: a supercharged intercooled 5.8-liter 32-valve aluminum block V8 engine delivering 662 horsepower** and 631 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a TREMEC six-speed manual transmission with an enhanced 3.31:1 final drive ratio. With all that power, you’ll want brakes that are up to the task. Beefed up 15-inch Brembo vented rotors with Brembo six-piston calipers in the front and 13.8-inch vented rotors with a single-piston caliper in the rear. We didn’t stop there. You can tune your ride through eight settings of the Launch Control System, accommodating all driver abilities. When Shelby GT500 is equipped with the SVT Performance Package, you can adjust the SVT-engineered Bilstein electronic adjustable dampers from the cockpit – standard mode or sport mode for track driving. You can also add an SVT Track Pack, featuring an external engine oil cooler, rear differential cooler and transmission cooler. Other features include downforce-generating front grilles, an aggressive splitter, new quad exhaust tips and new 19-inch (f) and 20-inch (r) premium painted forged-aluminum wheels.

Legendary 5.0L V8 Engine:-

The Mustang 5.0 engine pays homage to the original 5.0, delivering 420 horsepower* and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The powerplant features twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), an aluminum engine block and cold-air induction to help improve power. But that’s only for starters. The 5.0 also has a compression ratio of 11:1 and a cylinder head designed to optimize airflow. Every part under the hood, including the high-energy coil- on-plug design, is engineered to work in harmony. This lets the muscular engine breathe efficiently and deliver 100 percent exhilaration every time you hit the gas. And then there’s the exhaust delivering a distinctive throaty roar. Pure Mustang.

V6 Engine:-

The Fors Mustang is also available in V6 .

Transmission:-

The available six-speed SelectShift
Automatic transmission allows you to override automatic operation and enjoy the fun-to-drive performance feel of a manual with total control over gear selection.

Traction Control:-
662 horses are not easy to harness. That’s why the Shelby GT500 is equipped with the AdvanceTrac Stability Enhancement System with launch control. Integrating the brakes, electronic power assisted steering, traction control and powertrain control, this system ensures smooth, consistent starts for all driving conditions. Choose from eight settings to allow precise adjustment based on the driving conditions and environment. The driver receives clear feedback via the in-dash LCD screen to monitor the state of the vehicle. For spirited driving, this system can assist drivers of all skill levels to realize ideal torque balance, maximum grip and consistent acceleration just like the pros. Just turn it on, rev it up and let the power fly.

Convertible Top:- A sense of freedom comes alive with the option to put the top down and let the elements inside. Ford engineers heighten the experience, thanks to a design that helps give the Mustang Convertible a solid feel. So go ahead and enjoy the ride. Take a pleasure cruise or roll through your daily commute – top down and carefree. Available on all Mustang models.

Have you ever felt like saying “I feel the need for speed "Bugatti Veyron Super Sport- the speed of the wind

The 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport gives you just that.
The fastest production, road legal vehicle in the world made its American debut on August 2010 at the Pebble Beach Concourse. This new offering from Bugatti went into production towards the end of 2010. The first five cars that came off the line has been sold as a limited “World Record Editions.” At a cost of over 2.4 million dollars (2.08 million Euros at time of purchased) each, the first five immediately sold out. This World Record Edition is a replica of the car that clocked 267.9 miles per hour at Volkswagens Ehra-Lessien test tracks in Germany.
The conditions were perfect when the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport broke the record. SSC Ultimate Aero previously set the 256 mph record in 2007, in order to better the earlier Bugatti Veyron, but then, Bugatti came back with a vengeance by beating the record by at least 11mph.
Bugatti Automobiles SAS and the Volkswagen Group led the design and development of the Veyron. Hartmut Warkuss is the chief designer, while Jozef Kabaň of Volkswagen is responsible for its exterior design. In naming this outstanding vehicle, they have combined two giants in the car industry, Pierre Veyron and Ettore Bugatti.
Italian Ettore Bugatti founded his automobile company in 1909. Bugatti’s vehicles were much in demand for its engineering and stylish lines and finish. Story has it that only a select number of people had the privilege of owning a Bugatti, you were royalty or high up in the social class to own one. One other distinction Bugatti has is that it won the first ever Monaco Grand Prix.
Pierre Veyron, a Frenchman, was a racing driver that won the 1939 Le Mans 24 Hour race driving a Bugatti made vehicle.

The 2013 Agera R has all the features and functionality of previous year models, but also features new and unique solutions to enhance performance and visual appearance even further.
Examples of these enhancements include: visible carbon on the front bonnet and bumper, new front side winglets, revolutionary Aircore carbon fiber wheels, new Aero exhaust, increased power and a raised RPM limit.
Please find more details about these features in the menu to the left.
Koenigsegg was the first Hypercar manufacturer to take steps toward green technology with the release of the biofuel CCXR in 2007. The Agera R, based on the highly competitive Agera, follows in the footsteps of the CCXR as it also runs on E85 biofuel.
Among the many differences to the standard Agera, the Agera R has an upgraded fuel and engine management system with enough flow capacity to generate 1140hp and 1200Nm of torque on E85 and E100 biofuel. As there is less energy content per given volume in these biofuels compared to normal petrol, the fuel system has to manage a flow that is similar to a 2000hp petrol engine, which means that the Agera R’s return-less fuel system has the highest capacity of any car presently in production.
As the Agera R is a flexfuel car, it can also be run on normal petrol. As 95 octane fuel has less octane than ethanol E85, the power is reduced to 960hp with 1100Nm of torque due to the boost pressure and ignition timing being altered to match the fuel characteristics.
In order to give the Agera R maximum flexibility when it comes to power delivery, Koenigsegg has implemented the latest technology when it comes to turbo materials and design. This reduces the inertia of the turbine wheel and axle and therefore gives improved response.

KING OF THE NÜRBURGRING IS LFA OF LEXUS

In 2000 Lexus engineers began the journey that culminated in the production of an amazing supercar. Watch the video below and click the link to explore the life of the LFA.
Three different processes of carbon fiber construction are used throughout the LFA's chassis. However, when it came to forming the A-pillar and roofline, there was no way to create such a complex three-dimensional shape. The solution: We invented a loom that weaves carbon fiber strands in 3-D.
Nearly every element of the LFA's suspension was conceived, tested or modified while testing at the Nürburgring. Ultimate refinement took place while competing in the endurance races held on that legendary course.
The optional Nürburgring Package included aggressive aerodynamic aids, a track-focused suspension, 10 more horsepower and a recalibrated transmission.
These elements allowed driver Akira Iida to lap the famed Nürburgring in just 7:14.64--a record for a car equipped with non-competition tires.

JAGUAR F-TYPE NAMED 2013 WORLD CAR DESIGN OF THE YEAR

The Jaguar F-TYPE has been named the 2013 World Car Design of the Year. Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said: "No design project has given me greater pleasure than the creation of the F-TYPE. It's a project I've looked forward to from the moment I joined Jaguar, and it's one that's given my team and I great satisfaction. The F-TYPE is a sports car that is true to Jaguar's design values – beauty of line and purity of form – and I'm honoured that the World Car of the Year jury has recognised our work with this award."

Some 43 cars were considered for the award, this selection being reduced to a shortlist by an advisory panel of design experts* before final consideration by the 66 World Car of the Year jury members.

On the F-TYPE, the advisory panel said: “The long wheelbase, short overhangs and flared fenders give this car a good stance. The contour in plan view tapered toward the door emphasises the muscular rear fender that houses the driven wheels.

“The F-TYPE exterior maintains Jaguar’s own elegance in its horizontal proportion and rounded surfaces, yet it looks very dynamic. But I would like to say the interior design is even more attractive. It is clearly driver-oriented, and a grip bar for the passenger is nicely integrated into the big centre console. The seat design is superb, too.”

The award was collected by Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director, Jaguar, at the New York International Auto Show. Commenting from the show, he said: “The F-TYPE is the first full-blooded Jaguar sports car to be launched for more than 50 years.  Its architecture and technology are world class, wrapped in an evocative and progressive design that could only be a Jaguar – ‘Callum unfiltered’, as we call it in-house. It is as dynamic yet refined as any Jaguar sports car should be, and is a unique proposition from a performance and price perspective. This combination of factors has clearly inspired this year's jurors, and we are delighted and honoured to collect this award.”

THE PAGANI HUAYRA IS THE FASTEST ROAD CAR EVER AT THE BBC TOP GEAR TEST TRACK

Italian supercar manufacturer Pagani Automobili celebrates the record at the Top Gear Test Track achieved by the 2012 multiple Car of the Year Award winning Pagani Huayra.

Driven by the Stig, the road legal 200+ mph Pagani Huayra, equipped with Pirelli PZero Corsa specifically designed by Pirelli just for the Huayra and powered by a bespoke 6.0 litre V12 twin turbo AMG engine, has been able to record a brilliant lap time of 1min13.8secs, by far the fastest lap time scored by a production car in the history of BBC Top Gear and just 3 seconds shy of the laptime achieved by the track only Pagani Zonda R.

Richard Hammond, who conducted a thorough test of the Pagani Huayra said The drama isn’t just restricted to the speed, because inside it looks like a Victorian’s idea of the 23rd Century. And the detail is beyond obsessive.” or “Pagani has never lost it's innocence” and concluded with “If you can afford it, the message from all us enthusiasts is: do it, do it, do it! ".

The F12berlinetta not only ushers in a whole new generation of Prancing Horse 12-cylinders but is also the most powerful and high performance Ferrari ever built.

The F12berlinetta’s 200-bar, direct-injection 6262 cc 65° V12 delivers absolutely unprecedented performance for a naturally aspirated 12-cylinder engine in terms of both power and revs. It has a maximum power output of 740 CV at 8250 rpm, while its specific power output is 118 CV/l, a record for this kind of engine. Responsiveness and strong pick-up are assured by maximum torque of 690 Nm, 80 per cent of which is already on tap at 2500 rpm.

Exceptional strides have also been made with regard to fuel consumption and emissions both of which have been slashed by 30% to 15l/100 km and 350 g/km of CO2, making the F12berlinetta a benchmark for its reference segment.

Its wheelbase is also shorter, the engine and driver seat have been lowered and the rear in more compact thanks to the new suspension and gearbox layout. It is a shorter, lower and narrower car than the previous V12 coupé. Weight distribution is ideal too (54% at the rear) while the centre of gravity is lower and has been moved rearwards in the chassis.
